Art is ... Art & Math Striped Dolphin (2 Printable Pages)
The Striped Dolphin is found worldwide. It is in oceans, seas and in the Gulf of Mexico. It can grow up to 9 feet in length and weigh over 300 pounds. It is characterized by a striped pattern that is recognizable per dolphin. The stripes can be light grey with darker greys and blacks on the underside. They are the only dolphin species that use "roto-tailing." They will jump up into the air about 20 feet and then rotate their tail while in mid-air.
They are not endangered but they do have a "conservation plan." Without this plan in effect, they could move into endangered status.
Open Ended Coloring (Free Coloring) of the Striped Dolphin
Art & Math equations are simple addition and subtraction. Students must fill in the math equations that equal the given answer and then color the picture using the key. If an object has only a number, just color it using the key. The object was too small for an equation. (Example: Eyes and Sea Urchins)
