Art of The Day OCTOBER

Your K-5th-grade students will LOVE this Art and Artist of the Day Activity! This scripted daily PowerPoint makes it EASY for you to enrich your students with new and exciting works of art. Each slide in the Art and Artist of the Day Activity has an

ARTIST OF THE DAY, ARTWORK OF THE DAY, PHOTO OF THE ARTIST, TIDBIT ABOUT THE ARTIST, AND EVALUATING ART SCRIPTED PROMPTS.

The scripted prompts guide students through DESCRIBING, ANALYZING, INTERPRETING, and EVALUATING October themed works of art!

THERE ARE A VARIETY OF WAYS TO USE THIS RESOURCE:

1. Start each art class with an Art and Artist of the Day PowerPoint Slide. Facilitate classroom discussion by using the scripted prompts on each slide. Or, use the activity at the end of class.

2. Use the Art and Artist of the Day PowerPoint Slides as daily group work. Students work collaboratively to evaluate a work of art each day.

3. All prompts are numbered, so this makes a great daily bell ringer/writing assignment for upper grades.

4. Print the PowerPoint slides and use as an art center resource.

Each daily artwork fits in with the theme of OCTOBER. There are 24 days included. Since these are not dated, use them in any order you would like.
