Let's make some mail art! This art form might be new to you, but it's been around for decades. Getting mail is a good thing - but getting mail in an envelope that is decorated with ART is fabulous!
Use this product to learn about mail art and how to make it with your students. Designed for grades 3-6 but can be used for older students. This package comes with teacher notes (explains mail art, artistamps and gives instructions), a list of themes/ideas to jumpstart art, a reproducible Mail Art 101 handout with 'Anatomy of an Envelope', a hand-made blank envelope template to decorate with art, artistamp handout for students to try their hand at creating their own 'postage' stamps, and two blank letter stationery pages.
Designed with fun doodle-style graphics, you can use these teaching materials to add an element of art to letter writing/language arts or as a stand alone art project. Use basic supplies - colored pencils or crayons, glue stick and scissors to make this art project happen.
