Product Description
John Proctor's Identity Crisis!

After reading Act Four in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible students have to understand John Proctor as a dynamic character. Does Proctor pass his crucible? Does he finally redeem himself after that fatal mistake? Does he recover from his identity crisis?

Students will create John Proctor’s character using a magazine cutout figure. Then students will answer a series of questions to help them understand John Proctor as a tragic hero and his status as a dynamic character.

I allow my students to read the end of Act Four but also watch that pivotal moment on video as it just has to be watched for the full effect!

I hang their finished product on my class room walls and students are given a full understanding of John Proctor, which will be totally different from their first impressions of him in Act One!

This product is also included in Arthur Millers' The Crucible Common Core Aligned Curriculum Unit. To purchase for $15.99 CLICK HERE!
