Who knew artic animals liked the laws of exponents? Students move through the maze by following their answers and arrows. A key is provided for each maze and can be displayed on your board. Many of the provided answer options are designed to help you identify common misconceptions with this topic.

These mazes can be used as a worksheet or for a station. There are 2 worksheets. One focuses solely on multiplying and dividing exponents. The other mixes a variety of the exponent laws. Having the 2 mazes means that you can use them multiple days or use them to scaffold the work.

Know and apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions. For example, 3² × (3⁻⁵) = (3⁻³) = 1/3³ = 1/27.
