I printed different news articles in Spanish for my AP Spanish V students and asked them to analyze their articles using the template (general information, grammatical structures, vocabulary). Students are then asked to summarize their article in writing and present an oral summary to the class, along with five new words from the article. The template helped students understand the articles and present them to the class. They enjoyed making vocabulary mini lessons for their classmates. Students kept a list of all of their new words. My native speakers enjoyed this also because a lot of the words were new to them as well!
This could be used with any level of Spanish depending on the articles/ texts chosen.
