First they will learn to distinguish the difference between unitary governments, confederations, and federations and then identifying the strengths and weakness of the articles of Confederation. Students will then synthesize their own solutions to the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation, anticipating lessons on the Constitutional Convention.
