Love movies? Love speech? Here's a game to practice speech while talking about kids' movies!
-Cards with points (1, 2, or 3 points)
-Special cards (take one from another player/give one to another player)
-1 Movie list for each of the following phonemes:
40 movies with /R/
40 movies with /S,Z/
16 movies with /TH/
40 movies with /L/
34 movies with /SH,CH,Z/
-Print, cut apart, and laminate 3 copies of cards (pages 2-4). Or, print as needed.
-Print and laminate movie lists (pages 5-9).
-Give each student a movie list according to the phoneme/s they are working on.
-Place cards in a pile face down. The first student will choose a movie from their list and making a sentence/s about it. Then, the student draws a card from the pile and keeps it. Each card has a point value on a megaphone.
-At the end, students add up their points and the person with the most points is the winner!
