This product is a printable articulation version of the game Battleship! I recommend printing FOUR copies of all boards and ONE copy of the ships (there are two ships of each kind on the page) on cardstock and laminating for repeated use (students will use wet erase markers to indicate they’ve already picked a spot). The game is played like the classic board game, only students must say the word on the space they choose (i.e., “B4 Rope” or, alternately, you may ask them to say the word in a sentence for higher level practice - “B4 I need to tie the rope”). Each student playing will need two boards: one to place their ships on (this should match the sound their partner is working on) and one to mark their guesses for the other player on (this should be the sound the student him/herself is working on). I instruct students to use their wet erase marker to draw an “X” for a miss and an “O” for a hit on their guessing board.
**You will need to provide:
-A barrier so that students cannot see one another’s boards
-Wet erase markers so that each student can mark his/her guesses
