Being able to actively listen and recognize a target sound in a word is an extremely important skill for those students with articulation difficulties.
This activity is a fun and interactive way to have students find where the target sound is located in a word, as well as practice the word with correct articulation. It includes 56 practice cards for the S sound at the beginning, middle, and end of words!!!! It also includes re-occurring S sounds in words.
**The cards are meant to be printed front to back for practice**
-Print cards front to back on card stock
-Hole punch the black dots
-Show student the side of the card with the picture
-Student says the picture word and uses pencil to stick through the correct hole to indicate where the target sound occurs: beginning, middle, or end
-Back of the card has the word and a *star* to show if the student has selected the correct placement of the target sound
This is great for a small group or one-on-one articulation practice. This also is an easy activity to pair students to work on together or send home as additional practice.
