► IDEAS FOR USE!

I like to keep each deck clipped together with a binder clip OR on a binder ring (just hole punch one corner and put them on the ring).

Just print and cut all cards OR SCREENSHARE THEM DURING TELETHERAPY. For Cariboo, They really should fit perfectly in your Cariboo, but if not, trim them as needed to fit in YOUR Cariboo game (some versions of Cariboo have slightly different sized doors).

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE

► FOR CARIBOO, Slide those picture cards into the Cariboo doors in place of standard Cariboo cards. Feel free to mix them up and place in any order. For groups that contain students working on different sounds, you can mix decks. Try to pick cards from each deck that may contain both or all students’ target phonemes.

► FOR A TOSS GAME, place your chosen cards face up on a table. Have students toss a beanbag, penny or other item onto the table and roll a dice to see how many times they must practice their word, phrase or sentence. You can use as many or as few cards as you would like. If the child says it correctly, they get to keep the card. If not, it stays on the table for more practice. If you want to make it a competition, whoever collects the most cards wins.

► FOR WIND UP TOYS, put all the cards on a tray; I use a baking tray or plastic tray with a slightly higher edge. Get a wind up toy and place it on the tray. Wind it up and watch as it walks all over the cards and lands on one. When it does, have your student practice that articulation target. This is great for eliciting spontaneous productions. You can also use a dice along with this idea so they get multiple trials.

► FOR HIDE & SEEK...Hide them about the room and go on a hunt. Children practice the cards when they find them, and if you want to make it competitive, whoever finds the most of their target cards, WINS!

► FOR VARIOUS LEVELS: If the child is working at the word level, these cards are a no brainer. If working at the phrase level, give them a silly carrier phrase to use with the word. At the sentence level, just let them generate and practice their self-created sentence. Prompt them to make silly sentences for every more fun.

► FOR GO FISH OR MEMORY, print 2 copies of each of the pages for an easy memory or Go Fish game!
