Articulation Cards for Speech Therapy BOOM CARDS™ R Initial FREEBIE

Articulation cards are a must-have for speech therapy, and this FREE DECK targeting INITIAL /r/ will be a versatile tool for years to come! These digital articulation cards have built-in features such as modeling (audio included!) and self-monitoring.

A total of 30 cards to practice initial /r/ are included. These cards can be used to:

✔ Evaluate stimulability

✔ Collect baseline & progress monitoring data

✔ Provide practice and drill opportunities (with or without a reinforcement activity)

✔ Work on self-monitoring and awareness

✔ Assign for homework (the audio button allows for independent practice!)

Each card comes with:

★ A clear and colorful picture... with more mature graphics for older students!

★ The target word with letters of the target phoneme highlighted

★ A button to play the word aloud (optional)

★ A green checkmark button and a red 'X' button for the SLP, parent, or student to use for feedback, self-rating, or taking data.

The activity can be adapted to more complex articulation goals by asking the student to imitate or create phrases or sentences using the target words. The resource also promotes students’ independence by providing them with an audio clip of each word whenever needed. And by monitoring and self-rating their own productions, they are taking more ownership of their speech progress.

The cards in this deck play in random order. To navigate to a specific word:

► From your library, click the “Action” button next to the deck, then click “Custom Play Settings” and toggle “Turn off randomizing the cards” OR…

► Then, to navigate to a particular word when playing the deck, click “Overview” and arrow over to the desired section of the deck.

► Please note that any deck played from Preview mode does not randomize. Read more here about using decks outside of Preview mode.
