Product Description
Do your students ever get tired of articulation card drills? I created these articulation dice game to provide an alternative to my traditional therapy activities. Students are motivated to play dice games in therapy and the small set of targeted words uses the principles of motor learning. This product is designed to provide opportunities for blocked practice-which leads to better performance but also includes an aspect of random practice (6 therapy targets) which leads too better motor learning.

Articulation Dice-Your Way

This product contains three different games that you can use in therapy-using the same picture targets.

1. No prep dice games: You will need six regular dice to play this game. Simply print out the score card and black and white or colored game boards and start to play!
2. Make your own paper dice: Print out dice and have your students cut out and make their own dice to play the game. Have them practice the targeted words as they are cutting them out and creating them. Here is how I have done it in therapy-the first session, we cut out the articulation dice while practicing our targeted words. The second session, we create the dice, while practicing our target words. On the third and fourth session, we play our game using the dice we created. When we are done, I send the dice home with the student for them to practice.
3. DIY Articulation Dice: If you choose to create all three versions of these dice, you will end up with a set of 276 dice (18 targets for initial, medial, final S, SH, CH, TH, and J). I printed the pictures on sticker paper-but you could also use an adhesive to attach them to the dice. Amazon sells sets of about 100 6mm blank dice for 10-15.00). This version does require a significant amount of prep-but once you have created them-you will be able to use them for years.
