This sheet can be used to improve articulation (tonguing) for any wind instrument. Exercises are played in unison on any desired concert pitch, allowing the player to focus on their tonguing and rhythm. Since this sheet is not instrument specific it makes a quick addition to any band folder or warm-up routine. While written with wind players in mind, percussionists can play along on keyboard mallet instruments or even unpitched instruments.
Numbers 1-3 focus on the difference between tenuto and staccato. Numbers 4-6 have no articulation indicated to allow the director to choose the desired articulation for the entire line or alternate measures. Number 7 has groups of sixteenth notes to work on articulation speed.
The buyer has permission to copy as needed for their classes taught.
