Articulation Fill in the Blank Stories Activity with S

Here’s a NO PREP Mad Libs® style game/activity for speech therapy! Students can work on /s/ in conversation or sentence level while engaging in a super silly and fun articulation game.

This mad lib style activity (i.e., fill in the blank activity) has /s/ targets embedded in the text so students can pick any words to fill in the blanks and still get at least 20 /s/ productions per page. For bonus productions, have students think of words that include their target /s/ sound when filling in the blank.

There are 2 stories per sound position PLUS a bonus two with /s/ in all positions…that’s a total of 8 stories with 20+targets for each page. These can be used over and over again!

Directions:

1. Fill in the blanks on the first page of the story with your student. For additional /s/ practice, encourage them to think of words that include the target (not necessary).
2. Transfer the words to the second page with the story. Have your student read it aloud and enjoy the giggles at the silly story! Each fill in the blank story has 20+ targets embedded.
3. Send them home with your student to share with their family!

These are also great to send home after for students to share with their families AND for extra homework practice. Win win!
