Are you needing something different for articulation therapy? Do you have play dough laying around your therapy room? If you answered yes, you need this activity! (pssst plus it is low-no prep!) A play dough companion and SO Much more! Now includes a Google slides version with moveable pieces for distance learning, tele-therapy, or a no print option!

ARTIC Frog Food is a unique product that is designed to motivate students to practice their articulation sounds. Mr. Frog is hungry! Practice articulation while squishing flies around the pond with play-dough to help Mr. Frog gobble them up! Students love squishing flies! You can also use bingo chips or plastic toy frogs as place markers!

This pack includes most commonly targeted articulation sounds. These are also available in separate packs (early and later sounds).

The early sounds pack includes: initial/final: p, b, m, n, t, d; initial/final mixed bilabials; mixed final consonants; initial h, w, y; final ng, initial/medial/final: k, g, f, v; mixed k/g initial/final; initial sblends (separate mats for initial st, sp, sm, sn, sk, sl, sw, and mixed).

The later sounds pack includes: initial/medial/final: l, s, z, sh, ch, j, th (separate pages for voiced and unvoiced th); pre-vocalic r; vocalic r (er, ar, or, ear, air, ire, rl, mixed); and initial/medial rblends, initial/medial lblends, initial/final sblends

    • What’s Included:

→ Color Mats for the sounds listed above

→ Black and White pages for coloring or daubing! (an NO-PREP/LOW-INK option) These are great to send as homework!

→ BONUS Open Ended Dice coloring page

→ Color Google Slides version with moveable pieces

15 target words on each mat/page

Suggested Use: I designed this product to be used with play dough. First make a play dough frog (roll a ball and place it on the frog on the mat). The students will practice the target words on the flies and squish them with a little bit of play dough. After they practice all of the words, they will pick up the play dough frog and eat the flies (using the play dough ball, touch the play dough on the squished flies, it will pick up the play dough and clean it up). You could also just make a frog tongue out of play dough to collect the flies!

Use bingo chips to cover up the flies after you practice the target words.

Use dry erase markers to color up the flies after your practice them.

Use small frog or erasers toys to place on the flies after you practice the target words.

***Please note: the targets in this resource are the same as my Artic Swat and Artic Webs resources.
