Description
This BOOM CARDS™ activity is a simple and fun way to practice speech sounds by creating a haunted scene! It's also a great way to quickly collect data for a baseline or progress monitoring, as each sound is separated by word position, plus each vocalic /r/ and consonant blend has its own page.
From the menu card, click on the button for the sound that you’d like to target to go to that card. Then move each of the 10 ghosts on the card onto the spooky scene. As each one enters the scene, a target word will be revealed for the student to say. Practice the word by itself or in a phrase or sentence.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: This activity is designed for students that can read (single words) or will have the assistance of a teacher/therapist/parent to help them identify the target words since they are not pictured. Due to the nature of the graphics (ghosts and eerie scenes), it is not recommended for younger students. The ghost images are not cartoon-like and could frighten younger kids.
