This is two pages: a blank coloring page and a colored poster for beginning students learning the "R" sound in isolation!
Teach your student that the R sound is the sound a dog makes when it is growling!
I keep the coloring page printed, filed and ready to go for beginning students so they have something simple to associate the sound they are learning. This page takes time to color this page. You can have your student repeat it in isolation, "r,r,r," while you continue to scaffold with placement adjustments if needed (not "ar" - that's two sounds, ah and ar).
Included is a blank version so your students can color the page and take it home to put up on their wall to practice or hang in your classroom/speech therapy room, or keep in a folder to have on hand during their session, as a reminder for placement, and a colored poster version which you can hang up in your classroom.
Print as many as you like and keep them on hand!
