Start therapy with a quick and effective activity to address minimal pairs. Can your learner hear the difference between a /w/ and /r/? This simple therapy tool can help review, drill, and support auditory discrimination skills.
For each phoneme there are 12 pictures with blanks underneath as well as a call sheet for the therapist. The therapist will read a pair of words and the learner will determine if they were said the SAME or DIFFERENT (rake/wake OR rake/rake?). They will have same/different cards that they will place in the blanks below the pictures. Space to take data on responses is provided on the call sheet.
I like to use it across multiple sessions as a quick review the first five minutes of therapy.
Enjoy! I would love your feedback!
