This activity (a FREE SAMPLE) is designed to target articulation of the initial production of the /t/ sound.
1. Syllable Practice – Help Tessa the Turtle find her eggs
Use crayons/markers to draw lines from the consonant to the vowel for initial
consonants or from the vowel to the consonant for final consonants.
2. Picture Cards for Initial Practice
These cards can be used for:
Make duplicates to play a matching game
Play “What’s Missing” – Cut out all cards and place on a table. Turn one card over and have the child guess which card is “missing.”
3. Gameboards for Initial Practice
Help Tessa find her eggs. All players begin at start. Use a coin to determine number of spaces to move (one space for heads, two spaces for tails) or use a dice. Players must name each picture they pass along the way. The player who reaches the finish line first is the winner.
