This articulation screener assesses all phonemes for elementary-aged students: initial, medial, and final /p/, /b/, /m/, /n/, /h/, /w/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /f/, /v/, /y/, /l/, /s/, /z/, “sh”, “th”, “ch”, /j/, /ng/, /r/, r-blends, s-blends, l-blends, and all variations of /r/.
Visuals are included for non-readers.
Ideal mastery ages are located underneath each picture. These norms are taken from the Iowa-Nebraska norms that my district follows. You may follow your own district recommendations for qualifying a student with an articulation disorder.
Data forms are included in the download.
Instructions:
•Simply print, laminate for durability, and bind the pages together on top to create a book.
•Use the verbal prompts above to aid the student in producing the correct word and sound independently.
•If the student is not able to correctly label the picture, provide a prompt such as, “This is a bear. What is this?”
