→ This product is part of a money saving bundle:
Speech and Language Text Messages Bundle

★ Both color and black & white options included.

Contents:
• There are 18 cards for each phoneme - /l, r, s/ voiceless 'th,' 'sh', 'ch,' and 'dz'. Each card has a text message focusing on the target phoneme in all positions of words - initial, medial, and final. The target phoneme will appear in each text message at least 5 times with the exception of voiceless 'th' which appears at least 4 times.
• Game play materials include 'Lose a Turn' cards and cell phone mats
• Worksheets/Homework – Use these fill-in-the-blank worksheets for added practice either with you or at home for homework.

Directions:
Print and laminate cards for durability if able. For groups with students working on different articulation targets, place the target cards in separate piles for the students to draw from so that the student working on /s/ only pulls from the /s/ pile and the student working on /l/ only pulls from the /l/ pile. Students pick a card and read the text message aloud making sure to correctly produce each target sound within the text. Students will then formulate a response to the text message, making sure to use the word typed in the gray box with correct articulation. After providing a response, students can place the card on their cell phone mat. Watch out for the ‘Lose a Turn’ cards! The person with the most cell phones on their mat, wins!
