This packet contains cute, colorful, fun, and motivational activities that may be used to help early childhood and kindergarten students practice articulation of the B sound at the beginning of words, phrases and sentences (i.e., phrase and sentences that repeat the targeted sound). Children will improve phonemic awareness, learn basic concepts, as well as many other communication skills. This product contains token boards with tokens, lotto boards, and playing cards to play matching games, memory war, go fish, etc., All materials have the same targeted beginning B words for articulation practice.
Targeted B words for articulation include bat, bear, book, boy, balloon, bat, bee, boat, ball, buggy, bird, bunny, bow, beads, belt, bull and baseball.
Targeted concepts include inside, in front, in back, behind, on, above, below, beside, next to and under.
Suggested Activities for Target Words, Phrase and Sentence Boards
Laminate boards and cut out tokens.
Practice beginning B words ( articulation) and concepts using markers, tokens, magnetic tokens, or other rewarding objects. Refer to Beginning B sound Targets sheet.
Download token boards to iPad or tablet. Use tokens, magnetic tokens or other objects to place on token board for reward.
