This download contains home practice and generalization activities (“secret missions”) to supplement a school-based speech therapy program for children working on generalizing speech sounds. I designed the missions to be appropriate for 3rd grade and up. The activities are open-ended and flexible, and can be adapted as needed. A few speech missions are seasonal, but most could be completed any time during the year. There are 3 secret missions per month (28 missions total), to accommodate a 3:1 service delivery model.
Many of the missions are similar to the Stuttering secret missions, but these focus on generalizing speech sounds into daily life, and increasing self-monitoring skills.
The first page is a letter to parents explaining the program and the kinds of activities their students will be doing through the year. The last page of the packet is a cover sheet (optional) to be printed on the back side of each of the assignments. It allows the page to be tri-folded and sealed with a sticker, to keep it safe from “prying eyes.”
The preview file includes the missions for month of October. Check it out and let me know what you think!
