Using aspiration to stimulate articulation of /k/ initial
Instructions: Have children produce phoneme /k/ in isolation while pointing to the letter “K”, followed by the /h/ initial word. This will assist in preventing a fronted /k/. (e.g. /k/ + /hæt/). Gradually increase the speed, blending /k/ and the /h/ initial word. Once this is mastered, add the /k/ initial word to the sequence (e.g. /k/ + /hæt/ + /kæt/).
