PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The activities in the Mini Unit introduce the students to the science of Archaeology, the job of an Archaeologist and the concept of Artifacts. The students will read about and define the three terms. They will then analyze an object that may become an artifact for future civilizations. After analyzing the object they will draw conclusions in writing about the people who left it. The third activity asks them to bring to school a family artifact that will serve as the basis of an oral presentation.
