Product Description
This is a fun lesson that allows students to get to know each other, but also helps them gain valuable skills in observing, recording data, and creating hypotheses.
In this one to two day lesson, students will examine the objects brought in by fellow students and take on the role of historians, archeologists, and geographers to learn more about them. Students can then apply this learning to their understanding of ancient civilizations and cultures.
Complete lesson directions and handout are included.
This lesson also works as a pre-assessment for Chapter 1 (Investigating the Past) of History Alive: The Ancient World. The post assessment from this chapter asks students to analyze a cave painting in much the same manner.
I hope you enjoy the lesson, and please follow me!
