All about Andy Warhol for Grade 4
This is a great way to start the year and will get the kids hooked.
They can identify with the bright colours and subject matter of several of his art pieces (ex. Campbell Soup).
This powerpoint explains to students who the artist was, his history as an artist, his impact on the art world, his style, and the use of colours and repetition. This powerpoint is a great way to start refreshing primary and secondary colours with students.
A great idea for follow up is to take a picture of the students and print them out 4x. Students can recreate Warhol's style by creating their own Warhol inspired "Marilyn" but with their own faces with their own choice of vibrant colours.
