This a fun project that incorporates authentic resources, popular music and social media and transferable skills. I use it as a collaborative, culminating project in a high school Spanish 3 class. Students have to "pitch" an artist or band to the class, and try to "book a venue" with their Spanish speaking artist of choice. I think this project is best done in pairs, but can be done alone or in small groups of 3 or 4 as well. This would also be a great resource if you are looking for the presentational component of an IPA. Students are asked to incorporate 8 tenses and moods throughout their "pitch" to the class. My students create a presentation that is interactive and engages the class, and also learn to write a professional letter promoting a latino band.
