"Arty and the Booger-Genie" is a poignant, suspenseful, comical, exciting and scary fiction book about a ten year old boy and his experiences with drug use and addiction. The story is intended for reading by children around ten years of age, or those attending the fourth grade. However, it is appropriate for reading to children from around seven years of age.
This is a 12"x12", 71 page paperback book including illustrations. It can stand alone or be used as the first part of a three-part curriculum for teaching substance-abuse prevention to primary school-aged children. It has also been used successfully in high school health class for children with developmental disabilities such as autism.
