Product Description

In this research activity, the students will be expected to research and assess a variety of organisms that reproduce asexually. The students will also explore the advantages and disadvantages of asexual reproduction. The students will research asexual reproduction in the following organisms:

  • Amoeba – Unicellular, has nucleus
  • Moulds, Yeasts, Mushrooms – composed of thin filaments (hyphae)
  • Yeast – Unicellular, make bread/alcohol
  • Mould
  • Flatworm
  • Sponges & Hydra
  • Trees, bushes, and lawns
  • Strawberries

The students will complete the asexual reproduction chart and also answer some analysis questions at the end of the activity. I uploaded this file as a word document, so feel free to edit it to best suit the needs of your students.
