GET KIDS THINKING!
Students are given 2 pages that have phrases and pictures to cut out, each of which relate to 1 of 8 total types of asexual reproduction. The phrases include the name of each type of asexual reproduction, the organisms that perform each, and simple phrases about how each occur. Students are instructed to make columns on their desk for each type of asexual reproduction. (They will have cut out these titles.)
They must then decide how to categorize each of the other "cut outs". They can manipulate the "cut outs" until they feel they are all in the correct column.
When the activity is done, either a peer or the teacher can check the students' work, and then students record their answers in a graphic organizer (included).
