Each of the small cards have one of the vocabulary words from Chapter 3 of Asi Se Dice Level 2 book. File includes a full set of both Spanish and English (different fonts to separate easier). Topics include the train station, buying tickets, on the train, horse riding through canyons.
I use them to call words for Bingo (when the students have drawn pictures or written words in the opposite language).
I also use them for another quick classroom game. I make two copies of the entire set of one language ( usually Spanish), each on a different color cardstock. I divide the class in half (or thirds, but then you would need 3 sets), and pass all the cards of the same color evenly among the students on one side. The other color is divided among the other half of students. So, the class is now made up of 2 teams and each team is a different color. I call a word in English (since they have them in Spanish) and the students who have that word need to stand up. There will be 1 from each team. The one who stands first wins a point for their team. It's a quick, fast moving game.
The cards can also be used like flashcards in small groups as stations/centers or for early finishers.
