Ask 3 Before Me Lanyard Cards for Classroom Management FREEBIE
How “Ask 3 Before Me” Works:
-In order to use this tool teachers assign 3 students who are responsible and who are almost always on task to be the “Ask Me Experts.”
-During centers, guided reading, small group, or any time that you are busy in the classroom, you can teach students that this is “Ask 3 Before Me” time.
-This means that if a student has a simple question about classroom procedures like, “Where do I turn this in?”, or “Can I use this glue stick?”, an “Ask Me Expert” can answer the question for the student rather than you, the teacher. The student must ask all three “Ask Me Experts” before asking you.
-It is important that students understand that if they have an emergency, they should still ask/tell you. Students also should not ask the “Ask Me Experts” questions about deep academic confusions. They need to understand that it is important to let you know if they are really stuck.
