Students need to practice answering questions to show they understand the key details in their reading. They should also be able to generate questions based on their information about a topic and information learned from reading.
This activity has students practice asking who, what, when, where, why, and how questions to George Washington. It correlates with CCSS RL.2.1. Students will work in groups or independently to generate questions for each of the six question words. Then they will illustrate a picture that goes along with the question asked.
