Use this double sided activity while teaching Greek Mythology:
Side 1: Use this activity to encourage students to examine and evaluate the various powers of the Gods and to determine which of the Gods would be most helpful in certain situations.
The students are given a problem and then asked to determine which of the Gods they would turn to for help and why.
Side 2: students are asked to create a myth to explain the phenomenon of tornado to the Ancient Greeks. By doing this, students will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of the structure of a myth as well as their knowledge of how the Ancient Greeks viewed the world.
