Asking Questions Flashcards
Many of my students struggle to produce grammatically correct questions. Sometimes, they are struggling to determine appropriate questions asked given a situation - but many times they struggle with simply forming the question. You know those kids - the ones you can tell are asking a question based on their intonation only - they often don't use question words or proper word order. Or they may not create a complete question. I developed these flashcards to help them learn these skills. The set includes 30 flashcards with various social scenarios. The students must form grammatically appropriate questions based on the scenarios. There are varying types of scenarios including school-based, home-based, and social scenarios.
I often pair them with my Question Starting Words worksheet (it’s a freebie!) to help the students find a way to start their questions.
