Students may use these reading response logs to record *thick and thin* questions they have as they read independently or to record questions as the teacher reads to the class. Students are asked to cite one sentence of textual evidence that helped them answer their question.This pack includes a response sheet asking students to classify the question they asked as a *thick* or *thin* question and prove why it would be classified either way. Students are asked to reflect on how the questions helped them to clarify confusing parts of the story after they read. A quick reference with definitions of thick and thin questions is located at the top of the sheet for student use.
