This is a PDF download for a board game that reinforces the concepts of asking and answering questions before, during, and after reading!
I created this board game in hopes that it would excite my students for when it is time to ask and answer questions about stories, over, and over, and over again! We all know this comes up in the curriculum repeatedly, as it is a very important concept to teach! Use this board game to engage your students in asking questions about stories. Lined and un-lined recording pages are included if you choose to have your students orally recite their questions, but also write them down to practice written responses as well. Laminate these response sheets for students to repeatedly record and answer their questions with a dry-erase marker, or use as a response sheet to collect data.
A letter is included for parents if you choose to send this board game home and directions are stated on the board game as well. The materials needed are any form of counters, and dice! If you think your families may not have a dice at home, consider checking out my EDITABLE Cube Template
where you can make your own dice and send paper templates home with your students for your families, to cut, fold, and use to play!
* I sent this board game home with my students after teaching it in guided reading groups, and I received wonderful feedback from the students and their families! *
I also use this board game as an activity for students to play independently during their Read to Self or Read to Someone Daily 5 Literacy centers.
