Get in the winter mood with this fun aspen/birch tree art lesson! VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS included!! Download video to keep it handy or follow link to unlisted Youtube video in lesson. The video instructions end with non-winter colors, but just sub out the green dots for white snow dots! This is an absolute FAVORITE project of kiddos, teachers and parents! Even if you don't have those trees in your area (we're from Georgia!), this is still a project that the kids will really enjoy. These amazing trees are made with the most simple of materials! I have done this project with 2nd and 3rd grade students as well as with adults with wonderful results! Included in this lesson: VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS, materials list (pasted below too), sample visual arts standards from www.nationalartsstandards.com, assessment rubric, essential question, written instructions and project/process photos. If any questions arise I am happy to answer! This is one of the favorite painting art projects from the classroom of Claire Dunaway Cyr. Enjoy!
