Students read an account of the World War 1 assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand from two different perspectives. They answer 7 questions and analyze 4 images by answering 4 questions. The last question has the students look at the events from a 3rd perspective with 20/20 hindsight. This is great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.
Sample questions include:
-What nationality were the victims and what type of nationalism did the assassin “burn with?”
-According to the first account, what happened to Princip after he fired his gun twice?
-Why do you think there are variations between the two accounts?
