A Pocket Chart, and Cards are used for for Assessing the kiddos in your class each morning.

The assessment cards centered with the common core standards in math and literacy.

Each day the kiddos' take a card from the pocket chart and answer the question on the card and show it to me.

The assessment shows an immediate understanding of the current skill being taught.

The card set is usually changed every two weeks.

Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
