This single document offers three separate activities, all related to workplace skills.
1. The first item details six key workplace skills. For each skill, a scenario is given. Students must detail how they would deal with the given scenario, all while demonstrating the key workplace skill. (I find students enjoy working with a partner for this exercise; it promotes active, reflective dialogue.)
2. The second item has students generate a self-assessment log, which is broken down into three categories: Accomplishments, Interests, and Personality. Students reflect on themselves and their experiences -- which is helpful from a career exploration perspective. A template is also given for added help.
3. The final item has students revisit the self-assessment log, taking their fragmented/incomplete thoughts and turning them into positive, complete sentences. The goal here is to help students promote themselves in a positive manner, as though they are engaging in an interview process.
