Goal setting is an important skill for students to learn. Throughout our daily lives, we strive to improve through the goals we set. In the content areas, students can learn about the goal setting process as they problem solve, give presentations, and create other projects. There are seven steps to the goal setting process:

1. Determine the Goal
2. Establish a Baseline
3. Describe Success
4. Focus on the Goal
5. Track Progress
6. Assess Achievement
7. Reflect on Goal

Goal Setting in Content Areas: Problem Solving, Presentations, and Other Projects supports the following Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes: AR1.1, AR1.2, AR2.1, AR2.2, AR3.1, AR3.2
