I am so excited to bring you this interactive associations (go-togethers) activity!
Associations are essential for helping students to understand how concepts and vocabulary words are related to each other. Goals included in this interactive product include identifying related words and explaining the relationship between two words.
Product set up:
Download product and save in iBooks (iPad) or as a document on your computer or tablet. Open file and you are ready to go!
When a student makes a choice, in iBooks, push the picture, or on the computer, use a mouse to click it. It will forward to a slide showing if the answer is correct or if the student should try again. **Please note: click on the picture, not the white box around it, as the picture is programmed to move the slide forward.
After the student answers, click/push the number button (that corresponds with the question answered) to return to the original slide. If the student answered incorrectly, he can try again. Once the student answers correctly and returns to the original question, the next slide will allow the student to answer the question "How do they go together?" You can choose whether this is a multiple choice question (by having the student click/push MC) or an open-ended question (by having the student click/push O). There are no answers programmed for the "How do they go together?" questions. Discuss the response then push/click NEXT to go to the next question.
Multiple choice responses are actual responses from my students. Remind the students to choose the best answer, as some may have more than one correct response, but there is an answer that provides a better explanation of the relationship.
