Here are three complete foldables on teaching elementary students about the smaller parts in our solar system, asteroids, meteors, and comets.. Over 40 pages! Included in this lesson are TWO versions of the same reading passage. Both are exactly the same, except in their layout. One is a mini-book, a foldable, complete with instructions as to how to fold it. We like to keep these in our science notebooks, tucked into envelopes glued into our notebooks. For those students who have trouble with folding, there is also a regular reading passage that can be copied front to back, full page.
You get: 3 mini foldable books. One each for asteroids, comets, and meteors.
Also included is one matching 2 page full size reading passage for each foldable book. This is NOT a separate passage. It is the exact same working as in the foldable book. It is just meant to provide you with a second choice, especially for those who have trouble with folding, or need something with a larger print.
One multiple choice page per booklet.
One constructed response page per booklet.
One notes page per booklet. We’ve used these in the past to assist us in taking notes for making power points (or could be used for Google Slides) on space, writing reports, studying for tests, creating nonfiction books of our own on space, or just to share in groups.
This gives you approximately 4 pages per planet.
You also get: a writing page for comets; 1 puzzle pages, 1 compare and contrast page, and 1 mnemonic device page for remembering the differences between meteoroid, meteor, and meteorites.
Answer keys to comprehension pages, puzzle pages, and quizzes.
