How big are the canyons on Mars? In this game, students superimpose familiar objects onto images of canyons on Mars to get an idea of just how big they are. Students then discuss and research the potential of space travel to Mars through the lens of an astronaut. The project-based assessment is to create a Mars Travel Guide for fellow astronauts. This activity aligns with NGSS MS-ES1-3. Purchase includes questions to engage and explore, 5E lesson plan, embedded links, NGSS + career connections, project criteria, as well as free access to all corresponding student resources for this career including videos, simulations, and a career information sheet.
