PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this activity, students will be graphing the sun's altitude at solar noon throughout the year. In the end, they will have drawn an "analemma", a phenomenon in which the sun draws out a figure eight when seen at the same time and at the same place throughout the year. Students will explore how this relates to seasonal changes as well as changes in the amount of daylight their area receives.

This activity was designed for use in a high school astronomy class. It is currently set up for one specific location, but can be easily edited to fit your latitude.
