In this PowerPoint lecture, students are introduced to Isaac Newton and his contributions to physics and the study of the universe. The lecture covers his 3 Laws of Motion as well as his Law of Universal Gravitation. A Newton description of orbital motion is also discussed. In the 2nd part of the lecture, students are introduced to Albert Einstein and how his Theories of Special and General Relativity turned our understanding of motion in the universe on its head. There are links in the power point to short videos on YouTube that will enhance the content for students. The included student notesheet is a fill-in-the-blank version of the PowerPoint slides.
