Astronomy is such a large field that it's difficult to include everything that you might want however, this is what I've created for my Science 9 class and a 3 to 4 week unit depending on the group
The assessment takes the strong kids about 40 minutes and the weaker kids the full period of 55 minutes
There are 44 multiple choice, 9 true/false, and 3 additional points in labeling the parts of the sun, and 12 points for 3 written response questions.
The written response questions all come with a rubric under each question for the student to observe when creating their response.
The multiple choice are broken down into the following categories labeled on the test:
Comets,Asteroids and Meteoroids
The total for the test is 68
I usually use a bubble sheet type of application to mark the mult. choice and T/F
I didn't include an answer key but if you want one I can send it along.
